Previously on Lost...
6 undergraduates from Singapore's top university were recently marooned on perhaps – one of the most beautiful places on planet earth – the Maldives: Island R. Kinolhas

The 6 “unfortunate” souls were:
Name: Shakeeb
Aka.: the Maldivian who cannot fish
Profile: Maldivian local and hence most essential member to survival of the group

Name: Daniel
Aka: The Cash Cow
Profile: Sunburns easily

Name: Loh Wei
Aka: Loo Wee (as pronounced by Maldivian locals)
Profile: Especially attractive to mosquitoes

Name: Roy
Aka: Roei (as pronounced by Maldivian locals)
Profile: Especially attracted to hermit crabs (also responsible for 99% of the photos)

Name: Wesley
Aka: Wislee (as pronounced by Maldivian locals)
Profile: Allergic to Maldivian curry

Name: Yado
Aka: Are you local? (as pronounced by Maldivian locals)
Profile: No, Chinese

The 6 Lost

The lost had to fend for themselves to fill their bellies each day…
Reef fishing, with line/rod

Local boy catching his first fish! (quelling rumors that he has become Singaporean and can no longer live the Maldivian way)

Wislee catching the juggernaut!

Deep Sea fishing, with boat and line

Spear fishing! with snorkel & spear

De-feathering a chicken

Cooking Roshi (Maldivian prata)

Only Roei managed to turn his lump of dough into a reasonable circle

The lost travelers also had to forge through many a dangerous terrain…
Through mosquito infested vegetation

Through swamp home to stonefish, shark and stingray

Through beaches teeming with hermit crabs of all sizes

Even through the streets of Male (pronounced mah-leh) where highway code does not exist, only plenty of motorcycles…

When distances got too great, they took to other means of transport…
Such as lorry (the Maldivian idea of a taxi)

or boat

And Air Taxi

The lost soon made friends with the ‘others’ on the island

And played soccer with them

And formed the first Island R. Kinolhas football team

After many hard days of work, the 6 lost students contented themselves with slacking on the beach...

...and just simply drank in the beauty of Gods creation

They sure traveled light =)
Super BIG thank you to Shakeeb & family for letting us stay on your island and being fantastic hosts to us for 8 super days!
